Trial Bike or away on a bike? There is a difference in the design and capabilities between the two. I have never seen a bike with a judicial proceeding, so I think we are talking about a trail or dual sport.
I would say that as a dual-sport bike is properly equipped and is licensed, you should be able to test your practical demonstration.
As long as the bike is street legal (adequate lighting, lights, brakes, etc.) are registered and insured, then you can for your DMV road test.
